Ironic that I'm leaving this as a comment, but, yes, totally agree with you. I wrote for Thought Catalog earlier this year and there are some true bottom feeders that live on that website. It's disheartening, but I'm glad you were able to shrug it off and keep doing what you're meant to do--writing and speaking your truth.

Why don't I write any articles? Probably because unlike you and the other keyboard monkeys who write on writtalin dot com, I have the self-awareness to realize no one wants to read the shit I fling at the wall. The application process for these garbage sites is as rigorous as for this comment section—do you have a pulse? You should probably get off your high horse and realize you're just writing on a comments section with a headline. You're in the shit here with the rest of us.

P.S. Before you attack me for the veil of anonymity, my name is Mark Frantz.

Oh and you're also aware that thought catalog's entire business model depends on comment trolls? Like how tone deaf can you be to expect good comments from a site primarily known for publishing racist and transphobic pieces for hits and comments? You are literally getting paid by the people you deride so much in this article. That's pretty fucking ironic.

Or well…it would be if thought catalog or writtalin paid any of their so-called "contributors."
